Radhames Nova joined ALPFA as Executive Director of the Boston Chapter in October 2011. Radhames is responsible for day-to-day management of the chapter’s operations and works closely with the Board of Directors and Corporate Advisory Board to enhance program services, expand membership and ensure the chapter provides great value to its members, corporate partners and the Greater Boston Community.
Prior to joining ALPFA, Radhames served as Senior Associate of Business Development at Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, a privately owned investment management firm that focuses on private real estate funds in the domestic and international markets. Radhames previously worked at SCS Financial Services in Boston, where he led national sales for the firm’s fund-of- hedge-funds; at Fidelity Investments Charitable Services in a sales capacity covering New England and the Midwest; and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Africa from 1998 to 2000. He obtained his B.A. in French and Italian from Middlebury College and his MBA from Boston University.
Radhames has been an active member of the ALPFA Boston Chapter since 2006, including serving on the board of directors as Vice President of Corporate Partnerships from 2006 to 2008. He was born in the Dominican Republic and has lived in the Boston area for the past 22 years.

Rene is a senior portfolio manager for BNY Mellon Wealth Management. He oversees over 400 MM in client assets across the full range of equity, fixed income and alternative asset classes for both retirement and taxable portfolios. Rene works closely with the founders of closely held companies, business executives and trust beneficiaries.
Rene joined the firm in 2005 and has 19 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously, he was a Sr. Advisor with Merrill Lynch’s Private Client group, where he implemented diversification strategies on behalf of corporate CEO and CFOs. Before that, he was a senior associate in GE Capital’s mergers and acquisition group, as well as a research analyst for Springwell Capital Partners, a tech-focused Merchant Bank.
Rene received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Rene is an active board member and President of the Boston Chapter of ALPFA.

Juan is the Director of Contracting Strategy & Analytics at Tufts Health Plan where he is responsible for defining strategies for hospital and physician reimbursement and managing the analytical team that supports contract negotiations. Prior to Tufts Health Plan, Juan was a Director of Affordability Strategies at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (BCBSMA) where he was responsible for the development and execution of strategies to make health care more effective and affordable for BCBSMA members. Prior to BCBSMA, Juan was a manager at Deloitte Consulting and spent 8 years doing health care strategy and operations work serving over 20 clients throughout the country. Juan is the executive vice-president for ALPFA Boston, a Latino professional non-profit organization with over 2,300 members and over 50 corporate sponsors in theBostonarea. Juan is an effective leader with demonstrated ability to motivate personnel, drive change and deliver creative solutions to today’s complex and dynamic health care issues.
Juan graduated from the Boston College School of Management with degrees in Finance and Information Systems. He is originally from MedellinColombia.

Marcela Aldaz-Matos

For the last two decades, Marcela has devoted her enormous energy to helping young Latino students; women and professionals reach the full measure of their potential and to succeed in their quest for education and successful careers in the United States.
As a business executive since 2002, Marcela has sought to strengthen her employer’s global operations and business development initiatives. From the very beginning of her worldwide career, her priorities have always been to provide corporations with a truly global perspective on how to effectively conduct business on an international scale and this has allowed her to develop expertise in the international aspects of marketing, business development, finance, operations and legal requirements.
Marcela’s enthusiasm and energetic passion to increase profits, productivity, and quality is the reason she has been selected to lead and managed numerous U.S. and international teams in the areas of project management, operations, business development and service delivery. This includes her current role as Relationship Manager for Capital Formation Group. Previously Marcela worked at Best Doctors Insurance where she led the firm’s service delivery strategy for Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada for the Corporate Line of Business. Marcela created the operational infrastructure and supported their business development strategy to establish business operations in Canada, Ecuador and Trinidad and Tobago while simultaneously maintaining 100% customer retention.
Marcela previously held a leadership position with the Girl Scouts of America organization where she directed the membership and marketing Hispanic initiative focused on the State of Massachusetts. Marcela’s extraordinary leadership and performance held her team achieve over 100% of their membership goals. To recognize her leadership and commitment to the Girl Scouts, Marcela was awarded the prestigious “National Innovations Award.” Other volunteering efforts include serving as a committee chair for the Harvard/MIT Colombian Society and is a former board member for the Enterprise Forum at MIT.
She regularly serves as a spokesperson to promote a fair, accurate and balanced portrayal of Latinos in the media and she has appeared on Latino MassTV, on Telemundo’s “Encuentro Latino” show, La Revista Hispana, and has also been featured in Color magazine, El Mundo newspaper and Tiempo Social magazine. Marcela was recently recognized as one of the “100 Most Influential Latinos in Massachusetts” by PowerMeter 2012
She received an MBA and post MBA from the Simmons College School of Management in Boston where she was granted the prestigious John Hancock Financial Fellowship. She is also an Eagle Scout, a certified Reiki Master Level III and a certified scuda diver. Marcela is also fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese and has traveled extensively around the world.

Francisco Marriott
Vice President of Student Relations
Francisco is an assistant vice president at Wellington Management, which he joined in September 2010. He is an analyst with the Fair Value group and values private equity and other non-trading securities in the energy, media, food services, and insurance and specialized financial services sectors. Francisco works closely with portfolio managers, global industry analysts and risk managers within Wellington Management.
Prior to joining Wellington, Francisco was a Senior Analyst with the Valuation and Business Modeling group of Ernst & Young, where he valued companies, intangible assets and financial derivatives for financial reporting and audit purposes. Before that, Francisco was a Senior Associate with Mesirow Financial Consulting in the bankruptcy and litigation consulting practice, and a Senior Analyst with Capital Restoration, LLC, a boutique consulting firm specializing in corporate recovery and turnaround consulting.
Francisco received his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where he is originally from), his MA in Economics from Boston University, and his MBA from Brandeis University. He founded the Brandeis University IBS ALPFA Chapter in 2005, and made it the largest ALPFA student chapter in the nation during his tenure. He has been with ALPFA ever since.

Christopher John Martins
Vice President of Business Development
Christopher graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA in May of 1995 with a Business Degree with a concentration in accounting. He then started a business located in Medford Massachusetts. The business is still family owned today. In September of 2006 he entered the corporate world by taking a role at Mellon Bank. He has assumed several roles with Mellon’s accounting and Network Communications area. In addition, to his various management roles at Mellon, Chris founded Mellon first affinity group, called MORE (Multicultural Organization for Retention and Education). It was based out of their Everett, MA location but quickly become the second largest affinity group with all of Mellon. The group MORE received a ROSOFF award in March of 2007. Chris also conducted international training for seven resources in Pune, India for a period of three weeks and was responsible for performance management of 12 resources during his tenure at Mellon. He also served on Mellon’s Company Wide Diversity Council and served as a member of the Boston Urban Bankers Foundation prior to joining ALPFA.
He also manages ALPFA Boston relationships with FEI Boston (Financial Executives International) and Mass Mentoring. He is currently working on building relationships with organizations such as Big Brother Big Sisters, Hult International Business School, Dana Farber and the Nexus Alliance.

Evelyn Ramos

Evelyn Ramos started her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) approximately 20 years ago in the San Juan office. She transferred to the Boston office in 1993; today she is a Director in the Assurance practice, specifically in the Financial Services sector as part of the “Market Information and Data Analytics Group” , (MIDA). At MIDA she leads a team that supports Domestic and International audit teams in the analysis of financial information such as portfolio valuation and income streams verification. Her team is responsible for the execution and delivery of the pricing of statement of investments, custodial reconciliations and corporate actions reporting for fund audits. She leads several projects related to OTC “Over the Counter” derivatives such as Interest Rate Swaps, Options and Credit Default Swaps valuation and GIPS “Global Investment Performance Standards” verification and compliance audits.
Prior to this, Evelyn was part of the Assurance Audit Team, where she audited financial statements and performed system control reviews for several multinational pharmaceutical companies.
Evelyn holds a Master’s of Science in Finance (MSF) graduate degree from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts and a Bachelor in Business Administration (Accounting and Computer Systems concentrations) from the University of Puerto Rico. Evelyn is a CPA and is a member of the AICPA and MSF alumni association at Suffolk University.

Dmitry Domantovsky

Dmitry is a Production Manager and IT Support Specialist for Roll Barresi & Associates, an environmental graphic design (EGD) firm located in Cambridge, MA. In this role he is responsible for designing layouts, compiling artwork for production and building websites. He also provides technical support and troubleshooting in software management to the Principal-in-charge and design team.
Dmitry joined the firm in 2004, and has over eight years of experience in the graphic design industry. Previously, he was a consultant for Wyzant.com where he provided training in software applications to professionals and students. Currently he is an active board member of Career Connections of the Boston Chapter of ALPFA
He obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design and an Associate of Arts in Visual Arts from Holyoke Community College. Dmitry was born in Kiev, Ukraine and is fluent in Russian. He moved to the United States with his family at age 6 and now resides with his wife in Boston. They both enjoy cycling and traveling around the world.
